Our client is a company that provides specialized services and solutions for the railroad industry, including construction, maintenance, and transportation services. We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team on a temporary basis.
As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in supporting our railroad projects. Your primary responsibilities will include performing high-quality welding tasks, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of our specialized railroad work.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform welding operations on various railroad infrastructure components, such as tracks, bridges, and equipment- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure accurate and precise welding- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate welding activities
Qualifications:- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Welder, with a focus on railroad or heavy construction projects- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications- Certification in relevant welding techniques, such as SMAW, GMAW, or FCAW- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:- Work will be performed at various railroad construction and maintenance sites, which may involve exposure to inclement weather, noise, and physical demands- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation and Benefits:- Hourly rate of $23.60 per hour- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off
