Job Description

Our Warehouse and Shipping Technician contributes to the success of the company to manufacture and distribute premium quality injection devices and related medical products with a focus on serving people and pets with diabetes. To succeed as a Shipping Technician, you must be accurate, able to work at a fast pace as part of the shipping team, willing to work a flexible schedule and committed to providing our customers with an excellent experience. We offer your choice of either 1st shift or 2nd shift. Competitive pay level up to $21/hour depending on qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using a sales order picklist, retrieve all products requested while recording very carefully the lots, quantities and inventory balances on the required documentation.
Pack the ordered items in an appropriately sized shipping carton and palletize if a freight order.
Process all transactions using shipping software platforms
Transfer inventory and shipping supplies from bulk storage to picking locations as needed.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
Operate machinery such as stretch wrapper, forklift, pallet jacks in a safe manner
Meet minimum daily shipping output expectations
Comply with all quality standards and policies
Assemble cardboard containers for shipping and fill containers with void fill to protect product
Interact and coordinate workload with multiple departments as needed to achieve targeted shipping volumes
Other shipping and warehouse duties as assigned.
May be required to assist with production activities when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous shipping experience is highly desired
Knowledge and ability to effectively use a computer is essential
Experience using Microsoft, Excel, email, and the willingness to learn the companies software.
Ability to arrive on time and ready to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read part numbers and verify product identification quickly and accurately.
Ability to work well as part of a team as well as act and operate independently to accomplish objectives.
Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy in English
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to work overtime as needed
Maintain consistent and regular attendance

Physical Job Requirements:
Must be able to stand and be physically active for entire shift
Must be able to lift boxes 25-40 pounds consistently with an occasional lift of 50-65 pounds.
Moving product from racking and packing for shipping requires full use of arms and shoulders as well as bending at the waist and knees continuously throughout the day.
