Job Description

IMKO Workforce Solutions is looking for a Temporary Welding Operator in Columbia, MO.Shift & pay: 7am-330pm $16.25/hr. 3pm-1130pm $17.25/hr.     
Operate robots and monitor robot while running. Set up and tear down jobs by loading and unloading fixtures. Load and unload parts. Perform a visual quality inspection of parts. Ensure quality of welds. Remove weld spatter using chisel and/or grinder as necessary. Tag completed rework jobs appropriately. Perform daily equipment inspection. Advise supervisor or lead of shortages or poor quality materials/products.Responsibilities Include:
  • Load/ unload material manually into molds and welding fixtures.  Ensure that material is not damaged or missing components before placing into fixtures and molds
  • Check to ensure that material is cooled during machine operation.
  • Employee is responsible for any re-work or corrections as necessary to ensure a product meets specifications (ensure welds are cosmetically appropriate; visual inspection of materials received and on-going).
  • Maintain machines and remove and replace broken or worn machine tools, using hand tools.
  • Set up future jobs while robot is operating.
  • Lay out and mark areas of parts to ensure parts have passed camera sensor verification and visual inspection
