St Joseph, MO       Various Shifts
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. This position plays a critical role in preventing infection and ensuring patient safety.Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment following hospital protocols and industry standards.
  • Assemble instrument trays and sets for surgical procedures.
  • Operate and monitor sterilizers, ultrasonic washers, and other sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Inspect instruments for functionality and cleanliness; report damaged items.
  • Restock and manage inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing (CBSPD or CRCST) preferred or must be obtained within [6] months of hire.
  • Previous experience in sterile processing or a hospital setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
