Staff Accountant-St. Joseph, MO
Local accounting firm is in search of an experienced Staff Accountant
$20-$25/hr Depending on experience
Job Description/Role: The ideal candidate for our firm has the following background:
  1. Quickbooks background/experience
  2. Accounting degree/accounting work experience
  3. Payroll background/experience
  4. CPA is considered but is not required
 Anticipated primary role is the following:
  1. Monthly and quarterly financial statement data input
  2. Quarterly payroll reporting data input
  3. Potential tax return preparation (for CPAs to review and complete)
  4. Grow into role through experience and training on the job
  5. Saturdays – January to April are the expectation
 Compensation:
  1. Hourly based on experience and fit
  2. Anticipated $20-$25 hourly wage to start
  3. Tax season and Christmas bonuses are typical but not 100% guaranteed
  4. Simple plan match available after 1 year
 Other Notes:
  1. Smaller CPA firm in St. Joseph, MO
  2. Approximately 10 employees currently
  3. Saturdays during tax season is the expectation
  4. Office closes at 1 PM on Fridays May to December
  5. Flexibility is important to our office
