Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Job Summary
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our company. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, from record-keeping and financial reporting to supporting the overall accounting functions that enable our specialized manufacturing and engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
- Provide support for the month-end and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in a staff accountant or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering industry practices is preferred
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, direct hire position based at our client's headquarters. The work environment is typical of a professional office setting, with occasional visits to our manufacturing facilities. Regular business hours are expected, with some flexibility to accommodate deadlines or special projects.
