Job Description
IMKO is currently looking for a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a warehouse located in Mexico, MO**Up-to-date resume with relevant job history required to apply**Shift: 8 am - 5 pm Monday-Friday (includes 1 hr. unpaid lunch)Pay: $16 - $18 DOE6+ months of Shipping & Receiving experience needed.
Shipping Department Job DescriptionOverview:Perform daily operations of the shipping & receiving and material handling services to ensure the highest utilization and most efficient use of equipment and other resources.
Responsibilities:1. Perform activities as assigned in shipping & receiving, to ensure maximum utilization and highest productivity level.2. Ensure that all required documentation and computer entries are completed per company policies and in a timely fashion.3. Communicate with supervisor to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments, material receipts, and other shipping & receiving activities.4. Help monitor shipping & receiving, material handling teams to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.5. Work with the shipping & receiving department to ensure all equipment and warehouse areas are kept clean, free of obstructions and debris, and organized at all times.6. Perform any directly related appropriate duties as assigned.
Requirements:1. High School diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).2. Physical strength to lift and carry up to 40lbs (maximum weight 70lbs, when 2 people must lift & move) frequently.3. Gather and/or box products from 1lb to 40 lbs – must be able to lift & move finished packages to pallet for outbound shipment pickup.4. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, pull, and lift.5. Must be able to work in hot and/or cold weather conditions in open warehouse area.6. Must be able to climb stairs (open mesh) with varying degrees of pitch.
Skills:1. Good oral and written skills.2. Ability to prioritize in a multitask environment.3. Some computer skills required, use of computer to create package labels
