Job Description
IMKO Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable and skilled Railcar Repair Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining railcars to ensure they meet industry safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, experience working with heavy equipment or railcars, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:
- Welding (MIG and Flux Steel)
- Inspect railcars for structural damage, wear, and mechanical issues
- Perform repairs on railcar components including doors, floors, side panels, hoppers, couplers, and brake systems
- Use welding equipment, cutting torches, and various hand and power tools to complete repairs
- Replace worn or damaged parts and components
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory standards
- Document repair work and inspection findings accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
