Production Engineer
Job Summary:The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes. This role involves working with various departments to ensure production goals are met, identifying areas for process improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards and work with the quality control team to resolve any issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Production Planning: Assist in developing production schedules and ensuring that production targets are met.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design, quality, and supply chain teams to streamline production processes.
  • Training: Provide training to production staff on new equipment or processes.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems).
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Familiarity with safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of automation and robotics in manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
