IMKO is currently looking for a part-time packaging/shipping clerk for a local client in Columbia, MO. Hours: 9a-1:00 pm (Some flexibility on schedule)Pay: $15/hr.
The Packaging and Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging and shipping Amazon orders to customers. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as clerk would be packaging thousands of orders per month.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process orders for shipment.
  • Accurately weigh and measure packages to determine shipping costs.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, etc.) to ensure safe and secure transport of goods.
  • Generate shipping labels and apply them correctly to packages.
  • Coordinate with shipping carrier for pickup and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery dates.
  • Create laminations of documents, make binder packages.
  • Adhere to all company safety and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages.
  • Repetitive motions, such as packing and labeling
