Job SummaryAs the Paint Bay Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the painting process within our production facility. Responsible for leading a team of painters, you will ensure the efficient and high-quality completion of all painting tasks, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of painters, providing guidance and support as needed- Ensure the proper preparation of surfaces and the application of paints and coatings according to established procedures- Monitor the quality of the painting work and make adjustments to improve efficiency and consistency- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the painting process- Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the painting operations- Promote a safe and productive work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team- High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certifications preferred- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices
Working ConditionsThis position involves working in a manufacturing facility, with exposure to various paints, solvents, and other chemicals. The work environment may be noisy, with potential exposure to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. A flexible schedule, including the ability to work overtime, may be required to meet production demands.

This is a temp to hire position offering a competitive hourly rate of $21.50 and up depending on experience.
