Job Description
IMKO is currently looking for Packers for a manufacturer of aluminum food containers in Glasgow, MOShift: 7 am - 3 pm Monday - FridayPay: $15/hour3+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.Must submit an up-to-date resume with relevant work experience to apply.Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Inspect containers for defects (fan the containers to check for flaws and use the light box as
required to assist you in the inspection of containers).
* Ensure a light box is available with the proper template, unless light box is permanently affixed.
Inside of light box must be kept clear of any debris.
* Check flange height on IVC containers. Notify Quality Control Supervisor if off.
* Ensure that no foreign material is packed with the product.
* Notify any problems with the quality of the containers to the attention of the Quality Control
person or Supervisor.
* Pack containers in the proper box using the necessary partitions, taking care not to damage the
container while packing.
* Ensure the proper counts go into each box.
* Place proper labeling neatly on the box.
* Mark each box clearly with the date, shift, and packer I.D. as well as sequential box number.
* Seal each box using the proper length of tape (do not cover any information printed on the box).
* Maintain a smooth flow from machine to the box (so that downtime is minimized and the
production standard is met).
* Watch the die area and stacker to shut off press in the event of a jam up that cannot be cleared
in the stacker. Be aware of any condition that may need the press to be stopped.
* Produce high quality products safely and hygienically as per company GMP (Good Manufacturing
Practices) standards
HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS
* Press packers are responsible for keeping their work area clean and orderly. This includes the
area from the front of the press to the aisle. Downtime should be utilized for this purpose.
* The packing table is to be kept clean and orderly.
* Separators and packing materials must be kept off the floor.
* Stackers are to be wiped clean during and at the end of each shift.
SAFETY
* Must follow all Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazard Assessment requirements* Must follow all Environmental Health and Safety procedural requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
*Basic math, reading, and writing skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Must be able to tolerate loud noise
