Job Description
IMKO Workforce Solutions is seeking a Material Handler for our client in Brookings, South Dakota.
This individual will interface with suppliers to manage quotation requests, place orders, and ensure the timely delivery of products to our Larson sites. Will support product category throughout the network and will work closely with demand planning, factory, warehouses, and transportation teams. Maintains relationships with key stakeholders and reports metrics that drive continuous improvement, high fill rates, and a streamlined workflow in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Support master schedule execution.

Your Role:

- Manage and optimize inventory levels by product category through the review of forecasts, safety stocks, MOQ, etc.
- Prepare purchase orders based on the production schedule, safety stock requirements, and inventory goals while minimizing freight and material spend.
- Maintain system item purchasing attributes as directed by the operations leadership team.
- Plan and direct the flow of raw materials into manufacturing. Expedite delivery of goods to users, both internal and external.
- Execute non-conformance process to ensure appropriate disposition is approved and credit is received.
- Supplier Report Card monthly review and elevate concerns as appropriate Analyze data to determine component order quantity. Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented Support master schedule by planning production based on customer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant Materials, Scheduling, Supply Chain related experience
- Strong customer service skills including oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Access) with an emphasis in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or four year degree preferred
- 2 – 5 years previous relevant experience preferred (or combination of education and experience) MRP/ERP experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, actively pursues and drives continuous improvement activities, and demonstrates strong leadership
- Strong skills in analytics, problem-solving, negotiation and communication
Additionally:
- Pay Rate: $25/hr
- Hours: 40 hour work week, preferred hours are 8-5pm
- Excel experience is a MUST!
- Duration of Assignment is 4-6 weeks give or take dependent on business need
- Business casual attire
- Will need to pass a background check and drug test
