The role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of three-phase electrical systems, AC and DC systems, control circuitry, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and more. This position requires a strong technical background and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair three-phase electrical systems, AC and DC circuits, control circuitry, and associated components.
- Control Systems: Diagnose and repair issues related to control systems, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Mechanical Systems: Address mechanical issues by inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment.
- Hydraulic Systems: Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and actuators.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and system failures, minimizing impact on operations.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations when working with electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments to schedule repairs and minimize operational disruptions. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that the necessary tools, parts, and supplies are available and properly stored.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, with specific expertise in three-phase electrical systems, AC and DC circuits, control circuitry, VFDs, and PLCs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
- Certification in electrical systems, VFDs, or PLCs is a plus.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
- This position may require working in various industrial environments, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
