Event Staff – Light Security (Part-Time / As-Needed)
Location: Brookings, SD
Schedule: Part-time, as needed (primarily weekends)

Job Overview:
We are looking for dependable, energetic individuals to join our Event Staff team in Brookings. This role focuses on light security duties and general event support to help ensure a safe and smooth experience for all guests. Perfect for anyone looking to earn extra money on the weekends with a flexible, as-needed schedule.Responsibilities:
  • Assist with guest entry by monitoring and operating metal detectors
  • Perform light security duties, including checking bags and screening guests
  • Walk designated areas throughout the event to ensure safety and smooth operations
  • Provide excellent customer service by directing guests and answering questions
  • Monitor crowd flow and report any concerns to event management
  • Support event staff and security personnel as needed
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
Requirements:
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments
  • Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly
  • Prior security or event work experience is a plus, but not required
