CAD Drafter

Job Summary:The CAD Drafter will use computer-aided design software to create detailed and precise technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, engineering standards, and construction processes. The CAD Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of drafting tasks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting & Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings based on specifications from engineers, architects, or designers.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare and revise detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics for projects.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) to produce accurate designs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • File Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, including design revisions and final versions.
  • Material Specifications: Include detailed material lists and specifications in the drawings.
  • Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to gather information and verify measurements.
  • Communication: Coordinate with team members and external parties to resolve design issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or diploma in CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a CAD Drafter or in a similar role. Experience in the specific industry (e.g., construction, manufacturing, architecture) is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.). Familiarity with additional design software is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to create accurate and precise designs.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve design challenges creatively and efficiently.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
