Job Description
The Accounting and Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the following. * Preparing and filing for sales and use tax returns in a timely and accurate manner. *Provide support to the accounting team by assisting with various administrative and financial tasks as needed. *Responsible for managing the company' s purchasing activities by sourcing materials and services, processing purchase orders, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. *Ensures timely procurement of quality products at competitive prices while supporting operational needs and maintaining accurate purchasing records. *The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Prepare and file sales tax returns, along with other required state filings, on a monthly and annual basis 2.Support the Accounts Receivable Clerk with deposits, invoices and other related duties as needed. 3.Audit and reconcile account discrepancies to support accurate month-end reporting. 4.Assist with collection efforts on past-due accounts while maintaining positive and professional customer relationships 5.Resolve purchasing discrepancies, including pricing, receiving and invoicing issues.
Skills for Success: 1.Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy 2.Able to learn other accounting software systems 3.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 4.Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records 5.Prior accounting experience preferred 6.Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field preferred but not required.
