Job Description

IMKO is recruiting a Accounting Manager for a Direct Hire position with a very fast-paced industrial business. This position is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, administering, reporting and controlling general accounting functions. Accounting Manger will establish policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and SOX to ensure all transactions are recorded properly.  The Accounting Manager will supervise selected personnel within the accounting department.   Accountant Manager Responsibilities are, however, will not be limited to: 
  1. Supervises the general accounting and accounts payable functions performing the preparation, validation and verification of billings, cash disbursements, revenue, expense, and other financial transactions.
  2. Provides leadership and analyses to operation personnel 
  3. Maintains current working knowledge of accounting requirements, statements reporting and disclosure requirements.  Ensures complains with SOX, SEC and GAAP
  4.  Makes certain G/L accounts are maintained and accounts are reconciled
  5. Supervises and trains employees within the accounting department 
  6. Review product costs, correct inaccuracies 
  7. Provides assistance on special projects  
  8. Support month end / year end process 
  9. Must always maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  10. Travel could be required 
  11. Other duties assigned  
 Qualifications  
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
  2. 7 years or more accounting experience in a related field
  3. Past Supervisory experience
  4. Advanced Computer skills  
  5. Excellent computer skills, problem solving, and team building skills
  6.  Strong analytical and financial skills
  7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  8. High ethical and moral standards  
  9. Advanced computers skills using spread sheets, databases and accounting software 
  10. Professional Work ethic
  11. Valid Drivers License 
 Pay for the Staff Accountant will be $90k- $105k
