Job Description

IMKO Workforce Solutions is recruiting a temporary contract Accountant to help a local Brookings company during a leave of absence.  Accountant will assist with month end journal entries, Accounts Receivable Reclassification, intercompany transactions, gathering of information for internal & external auditors, & account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Use Tax return preparation & compliance
  • Month End Journal Entries
  • Monthly account reconciliation & analysis
  • Oversee accounting of credit card collection systems
  • Oversee accounting & reporting of online retailer accounts such as Amazon
  • Monthly intercompany account reconciliation
  • Final posting of all non-system generated journal entries in accordance with internal controls
  • Assist in maintenance of internal control matrixes & flows for company
  • Monthly analysis & summarization of accounts receivable reserves & adjustments
  • Record, review, & report on customer credits
  • Manage capitalization & accounting for displays & their related costs consistent with accounting policies
  • Assist with needs of the financial planning & analysis functions of the company including producing ad hoc analysis for managers throughout the organization
  • Assist in monthly reporting to Parent Company
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with Business/Accounting
  • 3+ years general accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information


This is a contract assignment that will last 3 months. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and pay is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience. Apply today to confidentially discuss and to learn more!
