Customer Service/Salesperson
$55,000-$75,000
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Insurance Salesperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling various types of insurance policies, including life, health, auto, and property insurance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of insurance products, and a passion for helping clients find the best coverage to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Generate Leads: Identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other lead-generation activities.
- Consult with Clients: Meet with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored advice on the best products for their situation.
- Sell Insurance Policies: Present and sell insurance policies to new and existing clients, including life, health, auto, and property insurance.
- Prepare and Present Quotes: Provide accurate quotes based on clients' needs and budget, and explain policy features, benefits, and costs.
- Maintain Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and regular follow-ups.
- Process Applications and Claims: Assist clients in completing insurance applications, ensure all documentation is accurate, and support them through the claims process if needed.
- Stay Informed: Keep up to date with insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets as set by the company.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in insurance sales or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Licensing: Must have or be willing to obtain the necessary state insurance license(s) (life, auto, home).
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computers and sales software.
